| * At one time this fountain had a statue of an angel in the center of the fountain. Since every period photograph found so far shows a person in front of the fountain with the hotel in the background, and the angel faced the hotel, no one knows what the face of the angel looked like. The decision was made not to replace the angel statue in the fountain until it is known what the face of the angel looked like. That is why there is no angel statue in the fountain today. | ||
